‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2 Update: Vince Gilligan reveals tragic life of Jimmy McGill as plot includes more 'Breaking Bad' characters appears next season

Although Bob Odenkirk mentioned that good times await Jimmy McGill in "Better Call Saul" season 2, the life of the struggling lawyer is still a tragic one. And the tragedies in his life could still go on in the next season as he becomes closer to being Saul Goodman and share screens with more "Breaking Bad" stars.

In the first season of Jimmy McGill, writers Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan was able to make the audience want to know more about the previous life of Saul Goodman, which seems to be eons away from his life in "Breaking Bad."

After the first season's finale, speculations online about the sophomore season rose but Bob Odenkirk, who plays McGill in the show, teases the fans that his character will be experiencing good times in season 2. Whether the actor is hinting that McGill's good times is due to a blossoming career as a lawyer or because of a successful scheme is still unknown, perhaps even to the showrunners who are willing to break their skulls just to come up with a good script.

A report however, notes what a tragic life Jimmy McGill has due to his odd humor. More than Bob Odenkirk's skill as a comedian, it seems the writers are aiming to bring out Jimmy's humor in the hopelessness of his situation. The way he reacts to the unfortunate events in his life is funny when you see it on TV but is tragic when viewed as a real life experience. And these tragedies in his life which he deflects (intentionally or not) by his humor might just be the main reasons for becoming the funny, sleazy Saul Goodman in "Breaking Bad."

Speaking of "Breaking Bad," Vince Gilligan told Reddit AMA the possibility of more BrBa stars cameo in the next season. When asked to be specific about his answer, Gilligan teases that anybody could appear in "Better Call Saul" season 2.

"The sky's the limit! That's the beauty of this format. The story takes place six years in the past, where all the Breaking Bad characters are alive and well, but that's not to promise that you'll see every character that we introduced in Breaking Bad," hints Gilligan.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 is still not slated to air until 2016 but its fans sure can't wait for the show's return on AMC. Tragic or not, Jimmy McGill's life is still one interesting story to tell and watch out for next season along with the possible appearances of "Breaking Bad" actors.
