Blue Bloods Renewal/Cancellation Update: Season 6 of police drama very likely; 5th season ratings better than Stalker, CSI: Cyber series

The Blue Bloods season 6 renewal/cancellation update is something that many fans are on the lookout for nowadays. While the start of May hit a sad note for a lot of viewers, being that it was the day of the finale, the opposite goes for the police action and drama series.

Amidst the positive ratings of Blue Bloods on its sixth season, it was in the finale, last May 1 that it went up really high. This sparks a very good prediction that CBS will continue the show on its sixth year. In the first place, the series has very little to worry about.

Its time slot is every Friday, 10:00PM ET, which is considered a competitive period to get viewers. Consequently, Blue Bloods managed to become the most watched show on Friday nights, as reported on ChristianToday.

In terms of the viewers garnered by Blue Bloods during its 5^th season, Hollywood Hills reports that it stands at an average of 9 to 11 million views. Relatively, these numbers are really high, making the series' status pretty secure.

TV Series Finale has tabulated the ratings for the 5^th season. The rating for the 18-49 years of age demo is 1.29. The average views for the season was at 11.29 million. While these numbers are really high, it should be noted that there was an 8.12 percent and 1.96 decrease in the respective rates compared to the past season.

While there is still no Blue Bloods season 6 renewal/cancellation update coming officially from CBS, fans should check for updates once in a while. The ratings, however, show that they should not be that anxious as a sixth season is very likely.
