Getting a bunch of people to work together is no easy task, especially if those people are all supervillains and there are a lot of super-sized egos at play. The same is true when it comes to getting big names together to form an ensemble movie cast, as director David Ayer learned while assembling the first big-screen version of Suicide Squad.
The movie's cast includes Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc. Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy was also set to star as Rick Flag, but later dropped out - citing scheduling conflicts as the reason.
Rick himself is not really a supervillain but appears to be the most gentle and looked up in the DC universe as the field leader of the Suicide Squad hence making it perfect for Tom hardy since he played a lot of role lke that of Rick Flagg.There were a lot of discussions being made for Rick Flagg if he'll still be included. The pioneer of the Suicide Squad was therefore compelled to drop out over conflicts.
However, Joel Kinnaman in the end assumed Tom Hardy over the part, yet when some reporters as of late talked with Hardy at the press day for Mad Max: Fury Road, the performing artist examined his affection for the script and idea for Suicide Squad.
Rumors about Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke had been swirling for quite a while, with Ayer's (Director) past teammate Joe Manganiello rising as a reputed leader at an early stage. However, when the cast photograph uncovered Parrack, and no Manganiello, Latino-Review's El Mayimbe offered word that the previous had caught the piece of Deathstroke--meaning Deathstroke will not appear anymore.
This news is certain to be a mistake to fans wanting to see any rendition of Deathstroke, DC's most deadly professional killer and hired fighter, on the wide screen. However, Manganiello's not taking the role with his own particular confirmation that the part he was seeking after wasn't Deathstroke either, and there may have never been truth to the deathstroke's role consideration by any means.
The topic of whether Manganiello was after the Jonny Frost part, or maybe Blockbuster might never be known for Suicide Squad.
