Let the hype machine begin as rumors are already trickling out about Captain America: Civil War, and one of the first bits of news coming out involves the two headlining superheroes for the movie featuring all-new looks.
Captain America has an easily identifiable look, so it would be difficult to truly change things up without drastically affecting the superhero's identity. That's why his rumored new look for the movie features subtle changes more than anything.
Captain America's new look includes some alterations being made to his shoulder and pants straps, as well as the abdominal section of his suit being made more prominent, according to Screen Crush. The most noticeable change made to Captain America's suit may be the star on his chest being made brighter, so to speak.
The new look would certainly make Captain America stand out even more in a movie he is slated to carry along with another superhero getting a rumored makeover. According to IGN, Iron Man will be featuring his "Bleeding Edge" armor for Captain America: Civil War. The "Bleeding Edge" armor features light coming out of several points, and it can apparently be controlled mentally thanks to the installed nanotechnology.
It's certainly a look befitting the personality of Iron Man, and one that would look stunning on the big screen. In related news, actor Martin Freeman has been confirmed as one of the newest additions to the cast of Captain America: Civil War, according to the Mirror UK.
There's no word yet on what role Freeman will have in the movie, but his addition does add yet another stellar name to a cast already featuring the likes of Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Captain America: Civil War will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
The movie will hit cinemas on May 6, 2016.
