Far Cry 4 Complete Edition will not be available for the Xbox One or older consoles

Courtesy of a German Amazon leak, it is now known that Far Cry 4's Complete Edition will soon be available, but not to all gamers it seems.

The Complete Edition of the game includes all the downloadable content that has been released for the title as well as the main game itself. All the content included in Escape from Durgesh Prison, Overrun, The Syringe, The Hurk Deluxe Pack, and Valley of the Yetis is expected to be a part of the upcoming release, according to Eurogamer.

All of the environments, missions, and the weapons for the game will also be made available in the Complete Edition of Far Cry 4. Even though the leak may have been accidental, it seems as though it's no big deal for Ubisoft as they have just gone ahead and announced the title officially not long after, according to Gamereactor.

Complete editions being released for popular games are nothing new, and they can even be effective sales boosters especially for those gamers who just don't like purchasing a title until it is complete with all the downloadable content.

The fact that the same complete edition treatment was given to Far Cry 4 is hardly a surprise, but what is a bit of a shock is the fact that the new release will not be made available for the Xbox One. The Complete Edition of Far Cry 4 will not be available one the Xbox One, or even on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, according to MCV.

The decision is a bit curious considering the original game released on all Microsoft and Sony last and current-gen consoles, as well as on the PC, but Ubisoft has already stated that they have no plans to release the Complete Edition on any platform other than the Playstation 4 and the PC.

Regardless, the Complete Edition of Far Cry 4 will be officially released on June 19.
