LG Announces Mid-range Phones; LG Magna Leading the Pack with Premium Features and Specs

By

LG Electronics recently announced the release of some mid-range smartphones to be launched globally. Set for launch this week, the new LG Magna, along with its mid-range siblings Spirit, Leon, and Joy, are all stocked with Android (5.0) Lollipop operating system and LTE connectivity. Their specs vary, though, and being mid-range units, are a little less than the flagship phones. But LG did promise that these mid-rangers will have features and design elements that are pretty much equal to those of their premium units.

The announcement was confirmed earlier this year and LG Electronics made a statement that they will be unveiling the said units during this year's Mobile World Congress. Among the four mid-range units, the most feature-packed and probably the best choice, is the LG Magna. I would bet that this unit will be the more popular one among the four and more consumers would choose to buy this.

Among its other mid-range counterparts, the LG Magna is the one that got the premium treatment. With a Quad-core 1.2GHz chipset for s better multi-tasking ability, it can also take great pictures and selfies with its 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 2,540mAh removable battery, so it can last you the whole day of heavy usage. Plus, it has been packed with a 5-inch in-cell touch display - a feature normally seen in LG's premium units only.

The mid-range smartphone LG Magna also comes with 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM. Housed in an elegant metallic case the curves gently for better and a more comfortable grip, it is also equipped with LG's signature Gesture Shot.

Scheduled for global rollout within the week, there is still no information on the price-range for the LG Magna and its other mid-range siblings. But with premium specs and features, these units will surely give consumers their money's worth. If you want to check the units out, head on to the MWC 2015 at LG's booth to get a hands-on experience with the handsets.
