Rogue Legacy, an installment of the popular 2013 genealogical rogue-like hit will be launched on the Microsoft console, Xbox One near the end of this month. With its release two years ago, the game garnered a number of awards and praised for its gameplay.
An announcement was given by the game developer. "So Rogue Legacy is finally making its way to the Xbox One, and we're super excited to be bringing it to you guys! It's been a long time coming, but we did our best to ensure the experience was as faithful to the original as possible. We worked closely with Abstraction Games and now we're finally able to extend our legacy to fans on Xbox One."
The Rogue Legacy game is a combination of rogue like gameplay and RPG (Role Playing Game) elements. This aspect makes the game newbie friendly but at the same time not sacrificing its game difficulty. The goal of the game is to explore and conquer 4 randomly generated dungeons with 4 final bosses. The characters will have the ability to jump, slash their swords, use magic attacks. However, once a character dies, it dies permanently. The control will then be transferred to a randomly selected heir. Each heir or descendant carries a unique characteristic or ability which includes genetic lapses like color blindness, which causes the game to appear in black and white; ADHD, which causes the player to move fast; and Dwarfism, which makes a small character that can fit through small gaps.
Rogue Legacy was initially released in 2013 for PC and was later made available for Mac and Linux. The game was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in July last year. And now, it invades Sony console rival, Xbox One, which will be available on May 27.
