Silent Hills PS4 Release will not happen anymore. After the previous reports of Konami's split from Kojima's Production, publisher confirmed that it has terminated plans to develop the game. Now, the P.T. demo from the PlayStation servers also disappears.
Confirmation of the project's termination comes weeks after it was exposed that Hideo Kojima, a director of the Silent Hills PS4 project, is leaving the Konami. The issue between staff at Kojima Productions and Konami had escalated to the stage where the publisher has begun seeking a new leadership team to work on future Metal Gear games.
Days after, director del Toro was quoted as saying to fans that his partnership with Konami "is not gonna happen." Later on, Konami confirmed that its partnership with Norman Reedus, the actor who initially signed to star in Silent Hills, had "expired."
However, the publisher is hopeful for the possibility of future collaborations with Kojima and del Toro. In a statement sent to Kotaku, the publisher said that the Silent Hills projects are still underway. They also asked fans to stay tune for further announcements.
The following Silent Hills PS4 Release updates became a faint of a heart because it was feared that P.T., a playable teaser that publicized the Silent Hills Project, would be delisted from the PlayStation Store in a matter of days.
Just recently, unfortunately, the demo has been completely removed from the PlayStation servers in US. The fears came true. And now, even if you added the demo to your library before it got axed, you can't re-download it anymore. Try to check it. If you try to download the "P.T." demo, you will only get an error message. So if you have the demo on your PS4, lucky for you.
And great news for UK and Europe owners because the game is still available to download, provided that PT is still in your digital library. So make sure you store on your hard drive before it's gone for good.
