When The Good Wife unravels for Season 7, all eyes will be on Julianna Margulies anew and a fresh cast ensemble. The Good Wife's strong drawing power has much to do with the lead female character, adeptly portrayed by Margulies, who shows how a driven individual can take charge of her life, while retaining a soft spot for certain people (read: the men whom she has allowed to enter her life). She's a woman of strength, and lots of modern-day females can identify with her seemingly vulnerable but resilient nature.
Margulies - who was fascinating as Nurse Carol Hathaway in the memorable medical drama series ER, is intense as Alicia Florrick. She's supported by talented actors & actresses that include Chris Noth ("Sex and the City," "Law & Order") and Archie Panjabi (as Kalinda), to name some. The show's creators and team of writers have crafted interesting subplots that enter into the realm of love, hate, betrayal, forgiveness, and survival.
Now that The Good Wife has reached the Season Six finale, the show's lead stars and creators have unequivocally stated that there'll be more surprises that viewers can look forward to. Incidentally, Margulies has been bestowed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Queried how she'd want her character to evolve, Margulies said it'll be nice to see her letting her hair down. The previous season has seen the heroine dealing with both triumphs and humiliation.
For season 7, will there be more plots to bring disaster? What romantic connections will Alicia Florrick have and with whom? Will she have new partners at her law firm? Fans are excited to learn the new beginnings taking shape in the next chapter of the tough defense lawyer's life.
