Playstation 4 and Xbox hold greater potential than what 1080p and 60fps would indicate for both systems

60fps and 1080p is by no means the limit for either the Playstation 4 or Xbox One, according to one prominent developer from Vertex Pop Games.

Those two figures are just starting points, says Mobeen Fikree of Vertex Pop Games, and he believes that developers can do so much more for their games once they explore more about the true potential of both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

In a recent interview with Gaming Bolt, Fikree said what makes a game appealing even solely from just a visual standpoint is more than just simply having it feature great resolution and an exceptional frame rate. Fikree said that other visual aspects of a specific game can help make it stand out even more.

Fikree said that visual elements such as the feedback systems, the animations, and even the character movements can add a great deal to any game, according to Playstation Universe.

Even things developers can do with the camera can also greatly impact how the final product will look once it is ready for launch. Elements such as camera shaking, and even just how the camera itself reacts organically to either the in-game situations or player preferences can affect how the game itself will be perceived by players.

Fikree is very effusive in his praise for both consoles, terming both as being "absurdly powerful," according to PSX Extreme.

Despite the superior technical capabilities of both consoles however, Fikree still believes developers should utilize more of the elements they can modify not just to create games, but also to separate them from one another.

Fikree and his company Vertex Pop Games are currently working on We Are Doomed, a twitch action game with striking visuals. The game utilizes a lot of visual elements to give players a more satisfying gaming experience, so it seems as though Fikree practices what he preachs.

We Are Doomed is available for both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
