With more than $350 million earnings, Hotel Transylvania was among the box office hits of 2012. This animated family film debuted to about $40 million since "The Dark Knight Rises" opening. And with the top grossing result, here comes the sequel of the fun-filled adventures of vampires.
Hotel Transylvania 2 has released a new teaser poster. Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (creator of Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack," the animated film will be released on September 25 this year.
Starring Adam Sandler (Dracula), Selena Gomez (Mavis), Andy Samberg (Johnny), Kevin James (Frank), Keegan-Michael Key Murray), David Spade (Griffin), and Mel Brook (Vlad), Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon, the follow up to Hotel Transylvania will give us new twists and turns and funny stints again.
In Hotel Transylvania, it is a very strict rule that humans and monsters are not allowed to live together. But when Drac's 118-year old daughter developed a love interest with a human named Johnny, all things have changed.
Mavis and Johnny already have a son. Drac's grandson, Dennis, is a half-vampire and half-human little boy does not show even the slightest sign of being a vampire. While Mavis is out to see her human husband Johnny, Drac, who is already sick-worried about his grandson, thought of something; and along with his friends, they will train Dennis into being one little vampire.
Meanwhile, Hotel Transylvania now accepts monsters and humans to stay and be mixed altogether to share the fun and excitement inside the hotel. But then, Drac's father Vlad visits the establishment, and finds out his great-grandson a pure-blood vampire and that Drac already welcomes humans inside the hotel, Vlad is dissatisfied, and things are going a little crazy.
Hotel Transylvania 2 is under Sony Animated Pictures, and is executive-produced by Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, Allen Covert and Ben Waisbren.
