'Pan' Movie Update: Hugh Jackman reveals movie details? Strategic Fall release aims to steer away from competition

By

The upcoming movie release of "Pan" was delayed until October 9. Film director Joe Wright said "As you might expect, the fantastical story of Peter Pan involves very complex effects and I did not want to compromise on quality in finishing the film. This allows me and my team the time to complete the movie and tell the story the way it should be told."

"We wanted to give Pan the space to extend its theatrical run, so taking it out of the cluttered summer season made the most sense. Moving the film to the heart of the fall will allow us more time to screen the picture, enabling us to capitalize on what we anticipate will be strong word of mouth," Warner Bros head of distribution Dan Fellman said.

The pirate Bluebeard in the movie is Hugh Jackman, Garret Hedlund is Hook, Rooney Mara will be Tiger Lily and Levi Miller is Pan. Also in the movie are Amanda Seyfried, Adeel Akhtar, Jack Charles and Cara Delevigne.

By moving the release date of "Pan" from summer to fall, it has been drawn out to contend against Adam Sandler's comedy film "Pixels," author John Green's "Paper Towns," and "Ant-Man." With Warner Bros having 9 films to release this summer, it is somehow a nice move to push back "Pan's" release, though it will be in competition with Halle Berry's "kidnap" and the Steve Jobs movie.

A trailer of "Pan" was shared by Hugh Jackman on his Instagram account did not give much away since it ran for only 15 seconds. It has the whole sense of Neverland, with magical settings and colorful effects.

The reimagined "Pan" is about a young orphan that spirited away to Neverland's magical realm. There where he will face dangers and also fun adventures, he will fulfill his fate as Peter Pan. Now that they have more time to work on the movie, then it is safe to say that everyone can expect a truly amazing "Pan" once released.
