CW has just announced three new shows slated for 2015-2016. Several TV series also managed to retain their spot in the CW schedule this year. Unfortunately, after several months of speculations and rumors, CW says goodbye to the TV series "Heart of Dixie" and "The Messengers." DC's "Legends of Tomorrow", "Crazy-Ex Girlfriend" and "Cordon" lands a spot on the rosters of shows under CW's belt.
Three one-hour shows are now added to the list of TV series under The CW Network. DC's "Legends of Tomorrow", "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend", and "Cordon" will be gracing the TV screens this 2015-2016. As the network adds three series in the network, they had to say goodbye to "Hart of Dixie", now on its fourth season and "The Messengers," that recently premiered last April.
CW's "Aarow" and "The Flash" series have already proven to be successful shows under the network making them decide on pursuing the "Legends of Tomorrow." The series "The Flash" was initially a spin-off from the "Aarow" series. The "Legends of Tomorrow" is also a spin-off of sorts from the earlier superhero TV series. "Legends of Tomorrow" features Victor Garber (The Flash), Brandon Routh (Aarow), Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), Caitly Lotz (aarow), Ciarra Renee (Pippin) , Franz Drameh 9Edge of Tomorrow), Domini Purcell and Wentworth Miller, both from "Prison Break." The show will follow the adventures of Rip Hunter, a rouge soldier with the mission of assembling a disparate group of heroes and villains to save the Earth from an "unstoppable threat."
Rachel Bloom stars on the series "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and is a series focused on "a successful, driven and possibly cray young woman who impulsively gives up everything to find love and happiness." Bloom is an executive-producer of the show.
Meanwhile, "Cordon" takes place in Atlanta where an epidemic outbreak is out. An Atlanta police tried to keep the peace knowing that his best friend and girlfriend are trapped in the cordoned area. David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young Hanna Mangan Lawrence and Trevor St. John are the stars in the show.
"The Hart of Dixie" and "The Messengers" are officially out of CW. "The Hart of Dixie" show starring Rachel Bilson never managed to get 2 million viewers and even went below 1.5 million viewers in its most recent season. "The Messengers" on the other hand just started out last month, April and is failing below expectations as well.
The three new series under CW Network will join CW's renewed shows which include, The 100, Arrow, The Flash, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Reign, Supernatural, iZombie and Jane the Virgin. "Beauty and the Beast" is also slated to return for its Season 3 this coming summer.
