Hideo Kojima added to credits section of Goat Simulator after removal from Metal Gear Solid 5 promos

A sign of heartfelt, yet somewhat amusing gratitude was sent Hideo Kojima's way in the form of the renowned video game designer's name being added to the credits section of the game, Goat Simulator.

Goat Simulator's developer, Coffee Stain Studios, made the change to the game's "Many Special Thanks" section in the credits, and there in plain sight is the name Hideo Kojima.

Also featured in the section is Kojima Productions, and a plea for Silent Hills to be brought back, according to Polygon.

Coffee Stain Studios even invited Kojima to come work with them, according to IGN.

Even though Coffee Stain Studios went so far as to say that Kojima's name has been removed from the credits for Metal Gear Solid V, this has not actually been confirmed.

All that's known so far is that Konami has removed Kojima's name from the promotional materials related to Metal Gear Solid V.

Whether or not the game's publisher would actually go so far as to completely remove the name of the man who had such a big hand in creating the franchise remains to be seen. Doing so would be a bold move though, but fans will only find out once the game itself is released.

Kojima and Konami have been entrenched in a struggle for what seems like so long now, and given the length and public nature of the squabble, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to imagine that all of this will not lead to both parties formally parting ways.

The fact that Silent Hills, another game involving Kojima, was also canceled recently lends more credibility to the notion that the two parties are simply too far apart now to still mend fences, according to Gamespot.

Fans can only wait until Metal Gear Solid V is officially released in September to see if Kojima truly is leaving Konami.
