Star Wars Battlefront Xbox One, PS4, PC News Round-up: DICE dishes 5 hottest reveals fans can expect in November release

By

DICE has revealed hefty new details on Star Wars Battlefront confirmed to release November 17 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms and we have rounded up five hottest reveals that Star Wars fans can expect from the much awaited title.

As reported earlier, Star Wars Battlefront will include Boba Fett and Darth Vader as playable heroes including female star troopers as well as spacecrafts. Design Director Niklas Fegraeus revealed to Official Xbox Magazine new details on how to activate the characters in-game for the players to be able to transform them into character villains in the Star Wars movies.

A power-up system is going to be used that will activate the heroes and will only last one life but there is no detailed explanation on how to find the power-up.

"It has variations to it that depend on game modes and so on...But you can get it through a power-up system," said Fegraeus.

"When you find the hero power-up, that is when you can make your choice. You basically have one life to use all that power... you get to try to turn the tide and win for your team and become a beacon of hope for everyone " Niklas added.

Another feature included in Star Wars Battlefront revealed by the game developer is its weapon aiming system and vehicles. According to DICE executive producer Patrick Bach, the game will not have ironsights.

"There are no ironsights in Star Wars, on the ordinary blasters," he said to OXM reported via GamesRadar. "You have scopes on some rifles, but there are no ironsights."

"We're not taking into account what we've done before, because I think that would be disrespectful to the fans, and to what we're trying to achieve here," he said. "A lot of the things you saw in the game have nothing to do with anything we've done before. Some features of course resemble [our other shooters], because we want to make the best possible shooter, but in general we've tried to do something completely unique."

DICE recently confirmed that the game will include 12 multiplayer maps including the unexplored Sullust planet.

Star Wars Battlefront is set to arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms and you can finally get your hands on this exciting title from EA by November 17.
