Jennifer Love Hewitt is out of the "Criminal Minds" TV series. After the stressful episode wherein her niece-turned-daughter, Meg was kidnapped, she finally decides to submit her letter of resignation in the television series. Her role Kate Callahan will be dissing Season 11 of the ABC show when it returns.
The finale of Season 11 of the ABC television drama "Criminal Minds" revealed several interesting points of interest to look forward to when it returns for Season 11. One thing is for sure, Jennifer Love Hewitt will not be in the show anymore.
The episode finale of "Criminal Minds" aired last May 6 and revealed a plot similar to that of the movie "Taken." Hewitts character, Kate, spent horrific hours of searching to locate her niece, Meg, who turns out to be her daughter in the episode. Meg and her friend Markayla were supposed to be meeting with a boy named "Bobby" and would later on go to a concert. Unfortunately, "Bobby's" mom turns out to be a serial killer. Despite of Meg's attempt to send a "panic code" to Kate, together with the team of Bau immediately sprang into action to track Meg's whereabouts.
Kate, two weeks after the incident decided to leave her post in BAU, not just because of the experience she and Meg had to go through. She is pregnant and would like to spend time with the baby just like what he did for Meg in the earlier seasons of the show. In real life, Jennifer Love Hewitt is also pregnant and would want to focus on her second baby, leading to her resignation from the show.
Erica Messer is now wondering on how to go forward with the Season 11 of the series. She admits, in reports that her writing staffs are still out of ideas on how to proceed with the show with Jennifer Love Hewitt gone. A.J. Cook is also pregnant in real life, leaving the crew and production of the show in chaos, as they plan to go back to work by June 1.
"Criminal Minds" is renewed on ABC for Season 11 and a possible Season 12 has been clued to be on the way. Messer even mentioned about the possibility of Hewitt returning to the series on Season 12. For the meantime, the show is out looking for a strong female lead for the upcoming Season 11 of the TV series.
