While the comedy film "The D Train" is yet to release in the big screen this May 8, actor Jack Black has been very enthusiastic on teasing the movie goers on what will happen as he recently dished out details on his explosive bromance scene with fellow actor James Marsden. Black has also jested that their sex scene is the only thing that made him want to do the movie. This goes out to one question, how did he manage to do the provocative part?
Newcomers Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul's hilarious "The D Train" is a comedy about a middle-aged guy named Dan (Jack Black) who is a self-professed president of their high school organization. He organizes a 20-year class reunion, wherein the members of their alumni association couldn't bat an eyebrow on sending their RSVPs. Feeling hopeless, Dan made a bold move on inviting Oliver Lawless (James Marsden), who is a popular alumnus and a Banana Boat sunscreen commercial model that Dan had seen in a late night TV ad. Since Oliver is well-known, the alumni will be convinced to attend the reunion.
Now, all Dan needs to do is to fly to Los Angeles to attend the party. But there's a catch. Dan lies to his boss (Jeffrey Tambor) that he's going there for a business trip and he needs a benefactor, of course. His boss decides to tag along and what happens next is something you need to watch out. Meanwhile, at the party, Dan and Oliver made some little catching up. Oblivious to Oliver's bisexuality, Dan's plans will be gone astray and he falls to the pit of glamour. Due to a booze-and-drug fueled evening, something happens you don't expect in a comedy movie.
In a twenty-minute clip, the two hook up. While that sounds disturbing and thrilling at the same time, no further spoilers have been released. Dan also begs Oliver not to discuss their night together, but the thing is he begins getting jealous when Oliver spends too much time at the party with other student body members.
And because the scene is both disconcerting and delighting, Jack Black sat with New York Post for an interview. When Black was asked if the scene seemed to be awkward to him, he told: "There's always a feeling of dread whenever anyone has a project. Because I'm such a slow reader, when you give me the gift of your script, it's like you're giving me a thing that's going to take a whole day dedicated to you."
The "Nacho Libre" actor also joked or somewhat admitted that the sex scene with James Marsden is the thing that made him do the movie. Likewise, he mused that the scene worried him if they approached it too comedically. Everything is fine, though. Fans of Marsden will also be charged up as the interviewer asked Black about what does his co-actor smell like, to which he replied "Hmm...I'm going to say, ocean breeze?"
