Red (James Spader) kidnapped Kenneth Jasper (James Stephens), a leader of the Cabal's in episode 20 of The Blacklist. On the other hand, the Cabal would be on the offensive in the next episode, entitled, Karakurt. Would Liz be a target?
This episode of The Blacklist started with Red concerned that Karakurt, the Cabal Russian assassin sneaked into the country in the previous episode, was thinking a series of attacks on American defense fixings to activate another Cold War. Liz, though, was more focused with learning more about her mom, but Red was not giving up any data.
In the meantime, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and Liz went to a compound of Russian intelligence where she hoped to hit two birds with one stone. The compound did not have to invite them on Karakurt, although one analyst did guarantee to find someone who could inform Liz something about her mother.
Later, Red was seen tormenting a man who he thought helped Karakurt get in America. He was clever to know that Karakurt was trying to use a truck to bomb for an intelligence board. Unluckily, that target was the intelligence compound that visited by Liz and Ressler. It won't be soon that the pair left when an explosion shook the building, killing 12 agents inside.
As the FBI jumbled to know Karakurt's next target, Red was slanted off that Karakurt had revolved back up at a residence Red had formerly searched. However, Tom Connolly (Reed Birney) pursued his blackmail drive versus Cooper (Harry Lennix) , pressuring the FBI director to redirect Liz and Ressler to Union Station, rather the apartment.
Liz was attacked by a mysterious man at Union Station, she believed to be Karakurt, but she did not capture the assassin. Liz was in a rush and went to the memorial service, saving the Senator before he could speak to KaraKurt, who was pretending as a journalist. On the other hand, Liz was surprised when Hawkin suffered a seizure and died in the car. Red put the puzzles together and thought the Cabal knew her and had to do everything so she could take the fall. Karakurt had tainted her with the virus at Union Station. Liz would now have to go on the chase!
