A week after Bandai Namco has revealed Gigas as one of the fighting characters in Tekken 7, the developer has opened the curtains for the newest challenger of the roster, the Space Ninja, Yoshimitsu.
Fans who are curiously wondering about Yoshimitsu's absence from Tekken 7 can now finally rest their mind because they will soon be sure that they can get their hands on Yoshimitsu.
Bandai Namco has released a short trailer as well as released screenshots showing Yoshimitsu in action at Famitsu webpage.
He'll be added to Tekken 7, which is currently out in arcades in Japan, starting on May 12, 2015.
Earlier, during the Nico Nico Chokaigi stream, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada revealed a fighting character named Gigas in addition to Tekken 7 roster of fighters. The character is a colored red muscular giant with a lot of pounding moves during the fight. He has tubes in different parts of his body as if he had just escaped from a laboratory.
Also, a couple of months ago, prior to the uncovering of Gigas, data miners in Korea have found at least three additional fighters from the Tekken 7 roster including both Jin Kazama, the transformed Devil Jin, and the yet unnamed Filipina fighter Josie Rizal. These characters were officially announced on the last week of March.
Josie Rizal is a Filipina fighter using Eskrima, also called Arnis, fighting style which is originally from Philippines. The design of Josie's character was done by Mari Shimazaki and Mad Catz's Mark "Markman" Julio who has Filipino blood in him.
Tekken 7 is powered by UNREAL 4 engine which delivers the latest technology in fighting impact in gaming. Unreal Engine 4 is a new technology set of game development tools with several dozens of game created including Capcom's Street Fighter V.
Tekken 7 is believed to be developed PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game is currently available in Japanese arcades, however, no official announcement has been made for the gaming console release date at the moment.
