Love & Hip Hop New York: Live Wedding show preparations level up; Mendeecees and Yandy leaving show for their spin-off series?

By

While Love & Hip Hop New York (LHHNY) fans are counting the days until the televised Memorial Day wedding of reality TV stars Yandy Smith-Harris and Mendeecees Harris, the soon-to-be-wedded couple is giving sneak peeks into their journey to the altar and possibly their own reality TV show.

Yandy Smith's The Jasmine Brand posted photos and details of the lavish bridal shower attended by her bridesmaids and close friends.

The bride herself posted pictures on her social media showing her holding new baby Skylar with the mom and daughter both wearing all-white dresses.

Fashion & Style posted their own take on the event complete with intriguing notes on how the groom, in true bad-boy fashion, crashed the all-girls bridal party.

Even Judy Harris, the soon-to-be-mother-in-law who was seen in season 5 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, was present at the party taking snapshots with her soon-to-be-daughter-in-law.

Kimbella, Yandy's maid of honor earlier revealed in a VH1 blogged interview how the bride was making time for the wedding preparations amid her many business ventures.

Fashion & Style refers to the wedding special as an LHHNY spin-off, making Yandy and Mendeecees the second couple in the LHH franchise history to get their own reality spin-off show. Original LHH cast Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin were given a reality series to star in "Chrissy & Mr. Jones." However, there is as yet no announcement from the couple or VH1 that they would actually leave the LHH series to have their own reality TV show.

The bride and groom are all smiles at the moment but it may not be a happily ever after wedding event when Mendeecees Harris finally gets sentenced in August for drug trafficking, a case that put him in prison for a year. Harris will be able to attend the wedding date only because he is currently out on bail.

Meantime, fans are being treated to an opportunity to attend the LHH wedding via a Twitter promotion.

Love & Hip Hop New York: Live Wedding is scheduled to air Monday, May 25th at 8pm on VH1.
