The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Update: Censored Versions Released In The Middle East, Trailers and Plotlines Unveiled By Series Of Teasers

By

With just 10 days to go before the official release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, players are hanging on every teaser and detail leaked to the public in anticipation of the big day. The game, developed by CD Projekt RED, is slated for released on May 19, 2015, although some Middle Eastern countries already have their hands on "censored" retail sales of the said video game.

"I would not really call it a censored version. Yes we had to cover the frontal nudity, and turn down some gore, but this is not what the game is about" Rafal Jaki, the CDPR Business Development Manager, explained. He disclosed that they had to tone down the game content a bit to make a release possible, although it caused no significant change in gameplay, Gear Nuke reports.

Other countries which are to avail of the censored version includes: the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan.

According to IGN, the senior writer for the Witcher series, Jakub Szamałek, stated that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt focuses on the original story of series protagonist, Geralt of Rivia. Following the events of last game's storyline, he now sets on a new adventure amid a brewing storm.

The 'Wild Hunt' army is wrecking havoc on the world. And it is up to the Witcher to stop the bodies from piling up. Thus, "you'll know who the Witchers are, who Geralt is specifically, what are their aims, what is the world like, and what's the true state of the world right now," Szamalek explains.

The opponents reportedly came up with their own set of weaknesses and pressure points, which game developers specifically designed for players to figure out by themselves. Some of these weak spots are common sense, whereas others require a bit of research and hard-earned experience to discover.

A variety of trailers had also been making rounds online. According to iDigital Times, a new trailer features Ciri, the playable female character, in action. She displays amazing dexterity and sword-wielding skills as she hacks off opponents from all angles.

The Witcher 3 will be officially available for Play Station 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
