Survivor: Second Chance Players to be Announced May 20; Jeff Probst Reveals What Fans Can Expect In the New Season

Survivor is back with another season and it looks like the show is on for another big twist as Jeff Probst and the participants of the show reveals some spoilers about the upcoming season of the show.

Unlike the CBs' Big Brother: All-Stars season in 2006 this season's upcoming cast members will be entirely pick by the fans (top 10 men and top 10 women). Voting is open until 9p.m on Wednesday, May 20th an hour before the season's finale.

This season is noted as a "Second Chance" season because of the fact that the possible players for this upcoming season once played in the Survivor and none of them won in the show. The inclusion of the current World's Apart current contestant Carolyn Rivera and Mike Holloway became a controversy since it became a hint that neither of the two will win their current season.

According to Jeff Probst , the participants for the upcoming season are decided based on their performance on the season they first appeared in, "The point was, we have all these great players-people that we liked enough to put on the show-but in most cases, they got cut early...too early to have made the jury." Although Probst highlighted that only those who have played once and not more than that are given the chance to part of the show.

Meanwhile the some of the participants such as Kelly Wiglesworth who's known for being a first runner up after she lost the spot Richard Hatch with just one vote, Jim Rice of South Pacific edition who received a lot of attention because of his personality and tactics on the game are expected to gather attention for the upcoming season.

Probst also revealed how the participants will be introduced, an hour after the start of the season finale of Worlds Apart, polls will be closed and then the season will officially end. Afterwards, a reunion show will happen to be followed by the most awaited grand entrance of this season's participants. The 32 participants who are brave enough to risk being embarrassed in front will be in the audience with their suitcases ready to go after the announcement of the official participants is made.

Survivor will announce this season's players and will also end the current season on Wednesday, May 20.
