‘Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F’ Update: Box-office hit tops Film tops ‘Battle of Gods’, ‘Furious 7’; Film expected to break records in 74 countries

"Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F" is creating history in Japanese cinemas. It has been two weeks since the film was released and yet the movie has already managed to beat "Furious 7" in ticket sales in Japan. Akira Toriyama's manga series also managed to top its precedent movie, "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods."

According to reports, "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F" has already earner 3.1 billion yen or a total of US$26 million after 19 days. The film is the 19th movie adapted from Akira Toriyama's "Dragon Ball" manga. It has already topped "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" released last 2013 earning a total of 2.9 billion yen of US$24 million. The film over US$8 million at 656 dates during its first weekend and was recorded as the biggest opening for the "Dragon Ball Z" franchise in Japan. It even managed to beat "Furious 7" in Japanese cinemas opening at US$6 million at 309 dates.

The "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F" movie was released earlier this month in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The movie is set to be released in 74 countries worldwide and will be available in the US cinemas with English sub-titles. The movie features the return and revenge of Freiza, now resurrected thanks to the powers of the Dragon Balls. Earth is endangered from annihilation as Freiza brings an army of skilled and powerful warriors to defeat planet Earth's defenders. Goku is featured in the movie as the Super Saiyan God SS, now with blue hair.

The "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F" movie opened in 658 screen all over Japan both in 2D and 3D last April 18, 2015. Advance screenings were already held before then. The movie was even premiered in Los Angeles last April 11. The film was also the first Japanese movie to be featured in 3D IMAX Theaters.

Akira Toriyama's manga series has already been released in several countries and translated to almost 24 different languages. "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu No F" success is just one of the proofs on how marketable the manga series in, not only in Japan but as well as in different countries around the globe.
