"Legally Blonde" actress Selma Blair is set to play Kris Jenner in Ryan Murphy's most anticipated "American Crime Story: People v O.J. Simpson". The latest series from the creators of "American Horror Story" will tell the story of the people invovled in the OJ Simpson trial, in and out of the court.

Before Kris Jenner caught the eyes of the public as Kim's mom on the hit reality TV show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians", she was first known as the wife of O.J. Simpson's pal-turned-defense attorney, Robert Kardashian.

This dramatic timeline in Jenner's life will be covered in the show wherein it will be portrayed by "Legally Blonde" and "Cruel Intentions" actress, Selma Blair.

Though the 59-year-old reality star wasn't really involved in the legal actions, her close connection to Simpson, his late wife Nicole Brown, and the defense lawyer is something that makes her story worth covering.

Blair now joins the official cast of "American Crime story", companion series of "American Horror Story" which includes David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Cuba Gooding Jr as OJ Simpson, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran, Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, and Jordana Brewster as Denise Brown.

The 10-part first season will entirely tell the story of the football player's 1995 murder case also known as "People v Simpson" murder trial. Based on the New Yorker journalist Jeffrey Toobin's 1996 book "The Run Of His Life: People v O.J. Simpson", the story will be told through the lawyers' point-of-view.

The series which is executive produced by Murphy and Brad Falchuk (American Horror Story), has already started filming in Los Angeles with premiere date set next year.

As for Jenner, she will continue to appear as the best known matriarch on the reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians"; and while her character was already cast in the upcoming FX series "American Crime Story: People v O.J. Simpson", fans are now curious who will be cast as her young children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian who were still growing up that time.
