Xbox One is a powerful gaming console from Microsoft that continuously strives to exceed gaming expectations. It's May update roll out is a set of highly requested and interesting features but gamers has to be aware of its consequences.
Xbox One has answered to criticisms on the instant-on mode feature of the gaming console. The Natural Resource Defense Council argued that the feature makes owners waste energy every year. Microsoft kept its word and added a power option. An option for power saving mode will be highlighted upon startup and users can expect a roll out for the feature this month. This feature is one of a few more upgrades Xbox One gamers can expect in May.
Fans' most requested Xbox feature was auctioned by Microsoft and will be rolling out this month - Voice Messages will allow users to send and receive voice messages between the gaming consoles Xbox One and Xbox 360. Other May updates include Dedicated Servers for Party Chat which was initially made available to Xbox One preview members in March.
The Power On/Off using Xbox One SmartGlass for Windows, Windows Phone, iOS and Android are also updated to enable powering on and off for Xbox One if it's in the same home network as the devices. And of course the User-selectable Power Mode which lets the user choose between an instant-on mode and power saving mode. The new power saving option is a great feature but gamers have to be aware of its updates consequences.
Xbox One has a system of silently downloading and installing updates when the console isn't in use through the instant-on feature. This feature doesn't turn the device completely off when not in use, instead it receives update downloads and process installations. If the user chooses a power saving mode from the Xbox One update this month, a manual update process has to take place in its settings.
Xbox One May update rolls out this week with some most awaited features and nature-conscious considerations. The new features are great but gamers have to be aware of the console settings to take advantage of these.
