Fallout 4 rumors has been circulating since a contract 3D artist from Mirada Studios posted the "Fallout 4 cinematic trailer" as an accomplishment in Linkedin.
The gaming industry has been abuzz with news about a cinematic trailer for Fallout 4. Speculations about this began when a contract artist employed by Guillermo Del Toro's production company, Mirada Studios, included "Fallout 4 cinematic trailer" as part of the work completed with Mirada from December 2014 until March 2015 in Linkedin. No other details were provided except that the artist also worked on other projects such as Far Cry 4, The Elder Scrolls and Forza Motorsport. It was also reported that the artist has already removed mention of working on the Fallout 4 trailer from Linkedin.
Both Mirada Studios and the game's publisher, Bethesda, has not made any formal announcements about Fallout 4. What's confirmed is that Bethesda will be hosting its first ever press briefing before the E3 conference to be held at Los Angeles in June. No information about the company's showcase details have been released but game fans are hoping Fallout 4 news will be included.
Director Guillermo Del Toro, co-founded Mirada Studios with industry colleagues Matthew Cullen, Guillermo Navarro and Javier Jimenez. Among his directorial works are Blade II, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy along with its sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Pacific Rim and others. Mirada Studios also has some high profile clients, some of which includes Katy Perry, Mazda, Disney, Nike, among others.
The latest installment to the Fallout series is Fallout 3. This action role-playing open world game was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and takes place in the year 2277, thirty six years after the setting of Fallout 2 and two hundred years after the nuclear apocalypse that devastated the game's world. This third installment was released in 2008 and is available across multiple platforms such as Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.
It seems that players of the Fallout game franchise will need to wait until either Mirada Studios or Bethesda confirms whether the Fallout 4 rumors are true. Meanwhile game fans are eagerly awaiting the month of June which is when the E3 conference will happen.
