‘Godzilla 2’ to Challenge Classic League of Monsters; Will the Lead Beast Finally Get Its Long Deserved Screen Time?

By

"Godzilla 2" is on its way to wrecking the world again and this time guarantees a more intense and breathtaking panorama of the lead beast in war with other three monstrosities.

Project Monarch as the fans of the 2014 "Godzilla" already know is a joint coalition led by Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham subsidized by the government in order to hunt and study Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms or better known as the MUTOs. There were male and female MUTOs in the past Godzilla and the upcoming beast movie has it that these beasts have upgraded and united to beat our favorite character and - in the process - one another as well.

The first enemy in line, as accounted by Movie Pilot, is Mothra which came to life in its own 1961 film before battling the giant lizard a few years later in "Godzilla vs. Mothra."

Rodan waits next flying at supersonic speeds and can wreck a city by creating massive sonic booms and windstorms.

Ghidorah, the three-headed fire breathing dragon is the heaviest enemy, requiring Godzilla to unexpectedly team-up with the first two foes to beat the said monstrosity.

One concern from the viewers who wanted to see more of the gigantic beast is that it has very little screen time in the past movies.

However, as Godzilla is gearing for the sequel with a whole league of huge enemies, speculations predict that the title character's screen time would eventually become longer, even more than Johnson finding his family members, as logically speaking, it has to feature a good amount of time devoted to the upcoming fight of the four otherworldly animals.

Legendary Pictures has signed Max Borenstein to write the movie in talk. With its last installment garnering over $500 million in the box office, the company is positive that its sequel will rake money as much or maybe even more.

Gareth Edwards is still directing the movie albeit he is currently invested in his "Star Wars" project. During the San Diego Comic Con nine months ago, Edwards greeted the fans through a video and gave an assurance that he will definitely come back to helm the "Godzilla 2" that will be released on June 8, 2018 on theaters worldwide.
