Assassin's Creed Syndicate takes players to London for the next installement in the stealth game franchise

The wait has ended, and now players will find themselves in Industrial Revolution era London for the next game from the Assassin's Creed franchise. The game, known as Assassin's Creed Syndicate, is going to introduce players to elements both familiar and new for the latest installment.

First off is the setting, and while no additional details have been released in terms of what landmarks or iconic structures may be integrated into the game, it would be wise to assume that the scenic and dramatic landscape would figure prominently into the missions and other gameplay elements.

Another exciting feature for Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be the inclusion of two playable characters, in the form of Evie and Jacob Frye, according to IGN. The two are twins, so it will be interesting to see how the developer's work in that wrinkle into the game.

New, and significant changes, are also said to be coming to Assassin's Creed Syndicate, as Ubisoft has boasted that the game will reinvent the classic stealth game genre. It's tough to gain anything of specific significance from that, but reports suggest that one change is coming in the form of vehicles in the game working in a similar fashion as to how they do in GTA games.

One confirmed change is the addition of a new rope launcher, according to Gamespot. At least, that will probably make scaling the buildings in the game easier.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate will also be notable for what it won't have, as the game will be without multiplayer and support for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Details about pre-order bonuses for the game are also coming out. According to Kotaku, players who will choose to pre-order the game from GameStop will receive additional missions involving Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens.

It's unclear whether pre-ordering from other retailers will give players different bonuses. Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be released on October 23 for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
