‘Head Full of Ghosts’ Movie: Robert Downey Jr. abandons ‘Iron Man 4’ to produce Horror Film Adaptation?

Robert Downey Jr. will be producing the movie version of the psychological thriller "Head Full of Ghosts" as Focus Features gets the rights to the adapt the book. Downey currently has his hands full with the ongoing filming of "Captain America: Civil War" and with his new producing stint. Can he still do "Iron Man 4"? Or will RDJ finally leave the franchise?

Team Downey (RDJ and Susan Downey) teams up with Dan Dubiecki's Allegiance Theater in producing the film adaptation of Paul Tremblay's modern horror novel "Head Full of Ghosts." Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski will pen the movie's script.

The novel centers on a suburban New England family dealing with their 14-year-old's acute schizophrenia. They will eventually resort to exorcism that will put them in the eyes of tragedies and the public as they become the subject of a reality TV show.

Robert Downey Jr. busies himself with his new project and the various Marvel movies that he is involved in. Currently, the 50-year-old actor is filming "Captain America: Civil War" where he will again reprise his role as the Iron Man. After opening Marvel's Phase 3 with "Captain America 3," Iron Man will go straight to the 2-part "Avengers: Infinity War." However, Marvel is still mum about the possibility of fourth installment of "Iron Man"

Downey already teased the fans of the Iron Avenger in so many occasions. RDJ once appeared in "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and revealed that "Iron Man 4" is happening. But during Marvel's conference where the studio revealed their remaining superhero movies, Robert Downey Jr's fourth titular movie is not included in the list. Marvel is still yet to make an official announcement about the fate of "Iron Man."

Robert Downey Jr.'s Team Downeywill be producing the new thriller "Head Full of Ghosts," which focuses on the life of a suburban family experiencing tragedies due to exorcism and reality TV. RDJ may have hinted the possibility of "Iron Man 4" but Marvel still has not released an official statement about it.
