After years of seeing how they could bring the movie Zoolander 2 up-to-date, Ben Stiller and the creative team of the original movie are back with a bang.
Zoolander 2is slated to hit theaters in February 2016. By this time, it has sparked curiosity on the famous celebrities who will reportedly be seen in the second movie project. Ben Stiller has been tweeting news about the new cast additions to the much-awaited sequel. Among them is the stunning Penelope Cruz.
Apart from Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Justin Theroux (who has been working on the screenplay and will reprise his role as the Evil DJ), stunners like former Victoria's Secret Angel Karlie Kloss and possibly other supermodels are said to be joining the Zoolander 2 cast.
Ben Stiller has tickled our funnybone with delightful films like "Meet the Fockers" and "Night at the Museum," to name some. In Zoolander 2, viewers are in for even more riotous fun, as Stiller is joined not only by some of the original cast members (including Will Ferrell) but by new personages that include F1 racer Lewis Hamilton. Word has it that Justin Bieber will also make an appearance in the sequel.
The lovable but dimwitted Derek Zoolander will also be joined by Cyrus Arnold, who will play Derek Jr. Cyrus has appeared in a couple of episodes of of Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat. Ben and Cyrus attracted a big crowd when they were filming scenes in Rome, Italy.
Zoolander, a spoof of the fashion industry, spelled success at the box-office back in 2001. It's a memorable film, so the producers/writers have gone the extra mile to ensure that the sequel will be funny and unforgettable, too. Movie fanatics are hoping that the inclusion of big names in the movie, music and modeling world is but 'icing on the cake.'
So what do you think? Will Zoolander 2 be more than what the hyped-up publicity conveys? Will the lead characters and interesting new additions meld well with each other and be 'ridiculously good'?
