Nvidia has confirmed the launch of its brand new graphics card, the GTX 980 Ti. However, the GM200-310 GPU may not be the only surprise that the renowned manufacturer has in store for its patrons. Those who purchase the latest graphics card will earn a free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Nvidia made an announcement earlier that it will bundle CD Projekt's open-world RPG "The Witcher 3" together with the "Batman: Arkham Knight" to the GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970 graphic s card, free of charge. Further announcements had posted that "The Witcher 3" will be available on May 19, next week via DRM-free GOG download. However, the latter game will be dispersed to gamers through Steam on June 23. This game bundle is available in all countries except China and the codes are available only up to July 31st.
But these games will not be fully appreciated if not for the updated graphics chip code-named GM200. This brand new graphics chip sports 3072 stream processors, 192 texture mapping units, 96 raster operations pipelines, 384-bit memory interface and 6GB of GDDR5 frame buffer according to a report. This card would be a match to the AMD's Radeon R9 390 graphics chip series and is expected to be twice as fast as the Titan Black.
With regards to the price, it will be based mostly on AMD's call. But for now, sources would claim that the GeForce GTX 980 Ti would have a price range of $600 to $650. However, the GTX 980 will cost only $500.
It is possible that Nvidia will be releasing the GTX 980 Ti together with AMD's graphics card offering which is rumored to happen in June. At the Computex 2015 in June, the new graphics card with a GM200-310 GPU will be released bundled with "The Witcher 3" and "Batman: Arkham Knight". But it might happen before the summer ends.
