Creed's former frontman Scott Allan Stapp fell into a very public meltdown that seemed to last for months in the fall of 2014. The singer would go on his Facebook page and post some rather cryptic videos that would disturb Creed fans everywhere.

Scott Allan Stapp would post videos claiming that he was "going broke and homeless". The 16-minute videos would show Stapp telling his fans that he was now living in the Holiday Inn. His worrisome behavior troubled his fans, and many hoped for his recovery. The rock singer would also claim that he was undergoing some vicious attack. He made headlines in December of last year when he made a string of anxious 911 calls, in which he feared for his family's safety.

In a recent interview, Stapp would candidly reveal that his meltdown was a result of his struggles with bipolar disorder. The former rockstar claims that he is now in the process of recovery.

"I had a psychotic break that was brought on by alcohol and drug abuse," Scott Stapp says. "I was hallucinating. I drove around the United States for a month, following an angel that I saw on the hood of my car."

The 41-year old singer would even go so far as to say that his family was supporting ISIS. He feared that millions of dollars would be taken from him to support terrorism. He would tearfully say that "he was out of his mind."

Stapp entered rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse. At the rehabilitation facility, Scott was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Stapp would say that while the revelation was shocking, he learned to accept the diagnosis with the help of his family. The singer had initially kept his struggles from wife Jacklyn Stapp.

"It was hard to process," he said. "There's a stigma associated with it. But Jaclyn kept telling me, 'Embrace it. We love you.' It became a big sign of relief, because finally, we had an answer."

Scott Stapp would admit that he thought that his wife was 'out to poison him'. He would make 'ridiculous accusations' while Jacklyn tried to help him. Now Stapp says that is all in the past and that he is ready to move forward.

He currently participates in intensive therapy. Stapp would also take medication for his bipolar disorder, and regularly meets with a sponsor. He also works through a 12-step program.

"Nothing is more important than my sobriety," Stapp said.

Scott Stapp may be sufferning from his current health condition but he is slowly taking his steps towards recovery. Will he finally make his way back to the stage and relive his glory with his former bandmates in "Creed"? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
