"The Following" starring Kevin Bacon has been cancelled by Fox after three seasons although the third season's finale is yet to air on May 18. Due to this, fans expressed their anger over the fact that the show was cancelled.
Although "The Following," opened strong during the January 2013 premiere, the show's ratings continued to dip for 2015. It has had over 10 million viewers and an average of 8 mil on its first episodes. However, for the second season, it has averaged only with a 5.2 mil and for the third run, it garnered only 4.8 mil. Thus, Ryan Hardy, will no longer be seen on the fans' T.V. screens.
Bacon confirmed the news regarding the cancellation of his show via a tweet that says: "big love to all of our loyal fans. It's been an honor to work for you. Sweat, tears and lots of blood!"
After the news broke, fans took to Facebook to give a shout out to Fox and let the network know about their angry reactions. One fan said that Fox, in general, should get cancelled while another noted that the show should be continued in another network.
Another fan's status reads: "I'm pissed. You suck, Fox. This is almost as dumb as when you took a dump on 'Firefly.'" Also, another "The Following" fan trash talked another show saying: "Say it ain't so Joe! Can't we do something about this?? Someone explain to me why such a great show will get the ax but the Kardashian's still remain on TV???? Where is the justice?"
"The Following" Season 3 finale is yet to air on May 18 at 8 P.M. The Finale Spoilers reveal Mike being held as a hostage by Theo and the star of the show, Ryan, will have to make a difficult decision whether or not to save Mike. It is yet to be known if any of the characters involved in the hostage situation will die or if everyone will come out alive.
