BIGBANG to make a huge comeback with a series of albums after a three year hiatus; Seizes music charts with first single 'M'

The most awaited comeback in the K-pop scene, BIGBANG, finally returns to claim their throne after three years of absence in the music industry as a group, with 'M' the first single album to their "MADE" project.

The five-member group being the trend-setters of K-pop, is known for their chart-topping hits worldwide and has arguably the most international recognition and accolades to their name.

They previously seized the "Best Asia and Pacific Act" and even beat Britney Spears to the "Best Worldwide Act" at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.

They were the only K-pop boy group to receive "2015 YouTube Music Awards" alongside label mate 2NE1, one of the front-runners among K-pop girl groups, for displaying such immense success and popularity on YouTube through high-quality music videos.

K-pop's biggest hit up to now "Fantastic Baby", which was released in 2012 prior to the group's three - year hiatus, featured as the main track on the latest movie trailer of the Hollywood film "Pitch Perfect 2" proving the group's impressive star power.

Domestically, the first single "M" in the "MADE" series, is showing a formidable power on charts, staying in the No.1 place for two weeks immediately after release of their new songs on the first of May.

They are staying strong on Gaon, South Korea's national chart that is of equivalent to Oricon in Japan and Billboard in the United States, recently revealing that the chart ranking of their songs "Loser" and "Bae Bae" is in the first and second spot respectively on National Digital Chart, Download Chart, Streaming Chart, and Mobile Chart for two weeks.

Internationally, the said songs topped the "Billboard World Digital Songs" in just their first week of release.

As the most awaited group has come back after three years of absence, the "MADE" project is unprecedentedly bold from the beginning of the comeback series. "M" that includes "Loser" and "Bae Bae" was released on May 1 to mark the beginning of the project, and then single albums "A", "D", and "E" with more than one song will be released on the 1st of June, July, and August, respectively. The final album "MADE" containing all the songs will eventually be released on September 1.

The said project shows BIGBANG's huge ambition for music. In the past, group leader G-DRAGON once expressed his pity for the current situation in the music market, in which songs other than the title track of a new album are not recognized and evaluated properly and are eventually forgotten. That is part of the reason why the group is releasing the songs of "MADE" album by singles entry.

To the delight of BIGBANG's fan base V.I.P., the group recently kicked-off their MADE World Tour Concert that commenced in Seoul last April. They are expected to visit 15 different countries, hold 70 performances, and meet around 1.4 million fans. On top of that, the members are also in talks on appearing in variety shows amidst album promotions. They are confirmed to appear on "Running Man" and "KBS Happy Together 3" as guests.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG is reportedly filming for the music videos for the next songs on 'A' of the 'MADE' series scheduled to be released on the 1st of June.
