Ouch! Triple ouch! Bethany Frankel is ordered by the court to pay up.
This may not be the best times for the Skinnygirl mogul and there may never be a most unfortunate of burdens than being forced to pay up to the person you are fighting against in court. But it is what it is.
No matter what her opinion about it, doesn't matter. What matters she hands over what the court has asked of her. Or face the consequence.
Yes, as reported on sheknows, the divorce battle that Bethany Frankel has been duking out in the court of law is taking a toll on the famous actress. And big time.
The Real Housewives of New York actress has been ordered to pay up a whopping $100,000 to her ex by no later than June 1. Reportedly, the money is to compensate Jason Hoppy, Frankel's ex-hubby, for attorney's fees. This is citing the fact that Hoppy "lacks sufficient funds of his own to compensate counsel without depletion his assets."
Wow! Talk about double jeopardy. Paying your "enemy" in court for his expenses.
This will go down as the second time Frankel will cover for her ex-hubby's attorney fees. In March of 2014 the beautiful actress paid the same $100,000 amount.
But that's not all. Judge is just warming up.
Additionally, the court has ordered Bethany Frankel to pay Hoppy the amount of $12,000 month after month to constitute for temporary maintenance - not to mention $3,000 for child support. To note, the couple-once have a 5-year old daughter.
The thing is Hoppy is still living the NYC apartment that the ex-couple owned jointly, one point of contention that has exacerbated their case like no other.
And the list just keeps on going. Here's a laundry list of Frankel's additional financial burden as ordered by the court:
- $11,000 per month for monthly rent
- $1000 to pay utilities
- $600 in housekeeping expenses
Frankel is the more financially-blessed of the two. Hoppy works for a drug company that gets him but $100,000 a year while Frankel is a famous actress known as the entrepreneur behind the success of Skinnygirl line of cocktails.
Yes, she may have the money but in this equation, it looks like Bethany Frankel has a lot more to lose.
