Major improvements are going to be implemented in Apple's upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro as the device is rumored to include a new AgNW silver nano wire coating, NFC, Bluetooth stylus, 2560 x 1920 resolution, and many more. The iPad Pro is slated for a mid-to-late third quarter production.
Apple was spotted recently doing business talks with LG Display, Japan Display, Samsung Display, and other major display manufacturers to strike a deal for the AgNW touch-panel samples set for mass production.
Apple was reportedly intent in replacing the ITO-based clear film with AgNW silver nano wire coating, which would result to an increase of touch sensitivity. The AgNW coating is more flexible, and offers major improvements in the touch-screen capabilities of a flexible screen than the ITO films. Further, the silver nano wiring coating would reportedly "work great with Force Touch," which was also rumored to be included in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Besides being rumored to have an AgNW silver nano wire coating, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro was also said to feature NFC, Bluetooth stylus, Force Touch, USB-C type connector, new touch screen, and improved touch latency.
An insider reportedly confirmed that Apple is working on a giant iPad Pro with an NFC radio, allowing the 12.9-inch device as a "payment receiving terminal for Apple Pay." Further, the NFC would offer simple pairing with accessories such as the Bluetooth stylus.
A new touch screen and improved touch latency would as well upgrade the experience when utilizing a new "Apple-built Bluetooth stylus," which is going to be connected through Bluetooth. It would also bring pressure-sensitive input.
The screen is also going to incorporate the Force Touch input, sensing pressures from fingertips.
A USB-C input as well as a Lightning connector could also be included. Though it was uncertain if the USB-C would replace the Lightning connector or could include another additional port, it is believed to be highly probable that Apple could potentially include both.
Recently, an industrial rendering hinted the dimensions of the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It revealed a 305.70mm x 222.60mm x 7.20mm iPad Pro along with its four top- and buttom-based speakers, power button, headphone jack, Lightning port, and volume buttons.
Additional rumored specs include a triple-core A8X processor, 2 GB of RAM, and Touch ID.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is slated for a production on mid-to-late third quarter, and would also be coming out with 2560 x 1920 resolution.
Since Apple has not made any official statements about the iPad Pro, readers should take these with a grain of salt.
