Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been together for eight long months that were backed-up by supportive fans due to their sweet and loving romance towards each other. However, just last month, the couple announced that they had split up due to their busy working schedules. Despite what the statement indicated, reports show that Nathan Sykes, Justin Bieber and misogynical lyrics from Big Sean's "Stay Down" song all contributed to them finally calling their relationship quits. Which of these is the true reason why the couple broke up?
During April of this year, Ariana Grande and Big Sean released a joint statement relayed by a representative of the couple indicating, "they both deeply care for each other and remain close friends, they made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year."
However, even if the statement indicated that the reason behind the beloved fan-faved couple was their busy lives as celebrities, recent events indicate that the couple only showed the tip of the iceberg instead of telling the public of the real reason behind their fall-out.
According to reports, Grande felt betrayed and insulted by one of Big Sean's songs entitled "Stay Down" which was released while the couple was still together. The lyrics of the song had a line that said "billion dollar pu**y" that allegedly was directed to her girlfriend at the time. Furthermore, it was indicated that Grande felt degraded and was obviously upset about how her boyfriend had the nerve to refer to her like that of "a piece of meat". Consequently, Big Sean was accused of misogyny . In fact, he was supposed to play at several Ivy League schools but the students felt that he was not "fit" to perform in such respectable institutions given his criminal background and accusation of misogyny.
Additionally, Sean also tweeted a reaction about Grande and Justin Bieber getting cozy together on stage while performing at the Honeymoon Tour of Grande. His reaction clearly showed that he was not happy about seeing his girlfriend being touched sensually by another guy on public. Furthermore, speculations also indicated that Nathan Skykes, the former member of the boy band The Wanted and ex-boyfriend of Grande, might also have played a part in the couple's break-up. Reports also indicated that he and Grande have been communicating while Sean and the latter have been dating.
No matter what the joint public statement of Ariana Grande and Big Sean indicated, recent events open up several other possible reasons that might have contributed to their fan-faved eight-month romantic relationship.
