"Doctor Strange" starring Benedict Cumberbatch was just recently given a greenlight to start filming this coming November.
The official movie synopsis, not the one from the comics, has not been out to the public yet but avid Marvel fans are already talking about the possible events that will take place in the movie in relation to the whole of Marvel Cinematic Universe, that is moving forward to Phase three, and the origins of the "Doctor Strange" in comics.
Part of the buzz concerns on what type of Infinity Stone will be handed to Cumberbatch's character in the science fiction movie. Apparently, there are only two infinity gems left and these are the time and soul gems.
Fans of the comics assume that "Doctor Strange" being the protector of the soul gem will have the authority to own the stone. However, knowing that Marvel does not necessarily follow the original story in the comics version makes it bewildering. Although since the soul gem is still available, it is not impossible that the Doctor might have the said infinity stone in his possession.
Movie Pilot theorizes that Vision in "Avengers: The Age of Ultron" will take the role of "Doctor Strange" in the next "Avengers" movie. Vision, as has been revealed in the movie, has the mind gem. If it were to come true, would it be possible that Marvel will just pass it that "Doctor Strange" also had the mind stone?
This proposition might be hard to believe as of now since Paul Bettany who played Vision was already committed for more Marvel movies in the future and needless to say, he will play the same character. There are speculations as well that Cumberbatch's contract with "Doctor Strange" will enter him to the succeeding "Avengers" playing his title role as well which is most likely to happen.
"Doctor Strange" will be directed by Scott Derrickson and the screen play was written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly. This tells the story of an egotistical neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange who got into an accident. Considering the importance of hand precisions for doctors leaves Strange in a maddening quest for a miracle cure. This is where he meets the Sorcerer Supreme which then becomes the turning point of his life with inhuman capabilities.
Benedict Cumberbatch's "Doctor Strange" which is set to make an important landmark in filling the story for Marvel Cinematic Universe is scheduled to hit worldwide cinemas on November 04, 2016.
