The modern remake of 'Jurassic World' by director Colin Trevorrow is set to take on the cinemas next month, and 'Lego Jurassic World' will hit the stores on the same day - June 12, 2015. It seems quite fitting enough since most viewers of the film will surely get caught with all the dinosaur-chasing-man hype.
The video game series inspired by LEGO has sold over 100 million units sold to date. It joins the ranks of Pokémon, Mario, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, and FIFA, among others. The results already look promising for LEGO because of the upcoming movie.
Developed by Traveller's Tales Games, the game will take players through the events of all the classic 'Jurassic Park' films, but in LEGO form - including the famous Triceratops scene. However, unlike the movies' thrilling experience, game fans should expect a humorous twist.
Warner Bros. described the game as 'A journey that spans across four films, brought together in one massive LEGO adventure'. And by four films, it includes 'Jurassic Park', 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park', 'Jurassic Park III' and the latest franchise.
A new trailer for 'Lego Jurassic World' has also been released, showcasing some of the 20-plus dinosaurs which players need to be able to take charge of - or run away from.
Those buying in North America will get special offers upon purchase. The publisher confirmed that different pre-order rewards will be available at specific retailers. For instance, GameStop customers will receive a LEGO Dino Trap Mini Playset, Walmart will give away $10 movie cash certificate for pre-orders, and those who'll pre-order from Target will get a Dr. Wu Minifigure.
