Nintendo announces Fire Emblem If which is scheduled to be released in Japan this coming June, and confirms details regarding the game. It is not sure yet when the game will reach American shores, and game details are still tied to the Japanese release, but it looks like there it's set for a 2016 global release as well as similar features as official details will be revealed at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
Fire Emblem If is a tactical role-playing game for Nintendo 3DS developed by Intelligent Systems, and it is the twelfth installment to the Fire Emblem game series. In the game, players assume the character of Kamui, who will have to choose between two warring factions and whose choice will dictate the direction and plot of the game. The factions to choose from are Hoshido, or the good kingdom, and Nohr, or the evil kingdom, and whichever kingdom the player chooses will follow that version of the game. Players need to be sure about the choices they make, though, as they won't be able to change the faction they choose anymore unless they start the game over.
Choosing the Hoshido kingdom is the easier path as the quests and tasks would be easier and EXP points and gold are also easier to come by. For the players who prefer the more challenging campaign, choose the Nohr kingdom, as mission objectives are more difficult and varied and gold as well as EXP points are more challenging to acquire.
There will be a third path, though, if the players choose to be neutral and don't want to choose between the initial two factions, but this third choice will not be available until sometime after Fire Emblem If is officially launched.
File Emblem for Nintendo 3DS is set to be released in Japan on June 25, 2015, and will be available globally by 2016. But with the E3 coming up, there is hope for an earlier release.
