After the first official teaser of 'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' was released, fans were given a few exciting revelations - Sasuke will definitely be part of the main cast as Boruto's mentor, Sarada was introduced as his rival, and he is driven by the goal of surpassing his father's legacy.
According to Masashi Kishimoto, the upcoming film will give fans a deeper understanding of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga's son. Joining him will be Sarada, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno's daughter. The official website of the movie also revealed that unlike his father, Boruto is actually a child prodigy.
Nevertheless, there are still similarities between Naruto and Boruto, which was highlighted in the teaser - he's a troublemaker, and a loudmouth, just like his father. Kishimoto-sensei also mentioned in his official site that there will be a special fighting move for Boruto. This means we'll see the 7th Hokage's son in action.
No official plot details have been revealed yet, but new panels from 'Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring' stirred some predictions for the movie. It showed the Genins in their classroom, with Boruto and a white-haired boy - identified as Mitsuki - sitting on Naruto's and Sasuke's old desks.
It's more likely that Sarada Uchiha, Boruto Uzumaki and Mitsuki will be the new era's famous team seven, which was originally composed of Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto. If it's true that Sasuke will be Boruto's mentor, then will he stay in Konoha for good? Kishimoto-sensei hasn't given answers in his website, so fans can only guess for now.
"This Boruto movie features all new characters, starting everything from zero. It means, it still exists only in my head, who is the original creator," said executive producer Masashi Kishimoto in an interview with Crunchyroll. It is hard not to get excited by this upcoming movie, which will premiere August 7, 2015 in Japan.
