‘Boruto: Naruto the Movie’ is screened in Australia from October 15-21, 2015. It debuted in selected territories all across the continent including New Zealand. Anime distributor Madman Entertainment also partnered with Deerstalker Pictures to create a live-action short in celebration of the Australian release.

New claims suggest that a live-action version of Boruto: Naruto the movie could be in the works currently in Lionsgate. The film production company is reported to be in negotiations with Masashi Kishimoto for the film's rights. Meanwhile, the animated feature's October 7 release date in US has been moved to October 10.
