TMNT 2 is set for release next year and the movie's cast is slowly taking shape. After the confirmation of Stephen Amell playing Casey Jones and Megan Fox reprising her role as April O'Neil, there are rumors that one of the most recognizable villains of TMNT, the evil alien overlord Krang, will be part of the upcoming film.
As the sequel for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie starts production, more and more cast are being confirmed. Fans would be happy to learn that some of the franchise's most recognizable villains will be part of the sequel. This mean nostalgia for die-hard fans and more action for movie-goers.
Confirmed to be Part of TMNT 2 is Brian Tee as the evil samurai Shredder. And what is TMNT without the evil alien villain Krang? We can remember that in previous movie adaptations of the Turtles, we never saw Krang because of physical constraints. It would be daunting to bring to life a pink brain-like creature inside a galss box in the mid-section of a brute muscle man-like (alien? creature? Frankenstein?) creature. But with today's technology, it's not impossible o do that anymore. It is rumored that Krang's character will be just like the Turtles' - computer-generated imaging.
If it is true that Krang will be part of TMNT 2, we can probably expect a storyline that involves Dimension X for the evil alien overlord to play a part in the movie. We could expect Krang's Ultroms and Triceratons in action with the Turtles. Other actors confirmed to join the existing cast are Gary Anthony Williams, who will play Bebop, and Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, and VS angel Alessandra Ambrosio who will have a short role as herself and Vernon Fenwick's girlfriend.
Although Krang's appearance and the film's possible plot have not yet been confirmed by anyone at Paramount, fans are still hyped that the TMNT reboot is doing the cartoon series and comic book justice. TMNT 2 is set for a June 3 release next year.
