Twentieth Century Fox remains to keep details about the upcoming "Avatar 2" movie but followers of the film are confident that this sequel, rumored to be a prequel, will be as stellar and captivating as that of the first "Avatar" movie. With James Cameron behind the production of the film, a promising movie is indeed something to look forward to. In the meantime, James Cameron remains actively participating with environmentally inspired advocates as well as in promoting better drones for film making.

James Cameron may have confirmed the return to Pandora in the "Avatar 2" movie but details about when the project will push through remains to be kept away from the media. Cameron on the other hand occupies himself with a contest in New Zealand to be able to promote the use of aerial drones for shooting movies. The contest aims to develop a drone design that will bring flying cameras a competitive edge when it comes to shooting films for Hollywood. The director expressed his interest when it comes to technological advances for film making in the website C-Prize UAV Challenge in New Zealand.

"I am a huge fan of technologies. I am starting too really like drones as camera platforms. Any improvements that can be made to make them more stable and quieter would enable them to be used for a wider variety of world class shots."

Is the director planning to use this innovated technology in shooting his upcoming films? Whether Cameron chooses to do so or not, the fact remains that anything he does is stellar and is always guaranteed to become successful, such as the "Avatar" and "Terminator" series.

"Avatar" was initially released in 2009 and gained international attention not only for its beautiful graphic and superb cinematography but as well as its captivating plot. It was initially reported that the sequel will be available in big screens by 2016. James Cameron even shared his excitement in returning back to the world of Pandora, the setting of the "Avatar" movie.

"I'm looking forward to returning to Pandora, a world where our imaginations can run wild." He said. He even confirmed that a few scenes from the first movie will be featured in "Avatar 2" to build the connection on the series. The Oceans of the Pandora will be explored in the upcoming film offering a prequel of sorts.

It was also reported that four "Avatar" sequels are being developed, or rather already created for the Avatar series. Three initial sequels where already created for the upcoming sequels of the movie but according to sources the film outfit have enough material available for four movie sequels. It is safe to speculate that the movie will work on the four elements of the Earth, Water, Wind, Air and Fire. Knowing James Cameron's advocates when it comes to the environment, this possibility is likely something we can all look forward to in the upcoming movie sequels.

The original casts of the movie are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming "Avatar 2" movie. Pandora will once again welcome Zoe Aldana, Sam Worthington and Michelle Rodriguez and will bring the Avatar viewers to another magnificent movie to look forward to by 2016 or 2017.
