Chris Pratt may be busy juggling several identities in movies nowadays but he continues to be the dashing Star Lord in the movie franchise Guardians of the Galaxy. In a recent interview, he shared details of the possibility of a "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" movie as well as two other films under Marvel. His journey as Star Lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" continues as he continues to search for the powerful Infinity Gems across the universe.
In a recent interview with GQ magazine for its June issue, Chris Pratt revealed that he is signed up for two more "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie as wells as two other films. He did not share details about this two other movies but are speculated to be the "Infinity Wars" movie, a movie slated for 2018 and 2019 as a two-part movie. Pratt's decision to stay mum about the future of Star Lord in the other Marvel movies is considered as a marketing strategy. It would blow off the suspense if he reveals that he will be mingling with other Marvel heroes, say the Avengers, ruining the excitement and mystery of the exciting future of the Marvel Universe.
It is speculated that Star Lord and the rest of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be appearing in several Marvel movies in search for the Infinity Gems. The Infinity Gems are not just decorative pieces that complete the Infinity Gauntlet but are powerful stones that will help destroy or bring the universe to salvation. Two of these gems are rumored to be in Asgard, one hidden in Thor's home while the other one is believed to be in Loki's possession. With intergalactic beings involved, it will not be a surprise to see Chris Pratt as Star Lord in this Marvel movie.
Talks about the collaboration between the Avengers and the Guardians in the "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" movie are also frequently reported. It is hard to imagine the Avengers blending in with these spatial beings, but with Iron Man's rumored hiatus in space, these two legendary Marvel teams will most likely work alongside in each other in future Marvel movies. Star Lord's return to home, to planet Earth is most likely happening as Marvel starts filming for the "Infinity Wars" movie. Thanos, played by Josh Brolin will be the connecting link between the Avengers and the "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Chris Pratt has definitely landed on an iconic character, this time around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Star Lord of the "Guardians of the Galaxy." His adventures and quest for the Infinity Gems and his participation in the Infinity War are just some of the exciting things to look forward to in his future in the MCU.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is slated for cinemas on May 5, 2017.
