The former Disney star Hilary Duff recently confirmed that she was indeed using everyone's favorite dating app, Tinder; and with her new music video "Sparks", it looks like we already know why. Not only did it feature her online activity in the dating app but also footages of her Tinder dates on which she went bowling and go-karting.
Hilary Duff has been recently involved in a Tinder dating issue which she admitted to be true. The "Lizzie McGuire" pop star indeed made quite a lot of swiping on the said dating site/application. But it seems like she was not only using the application for love but also for the music video of her latest single, "Sparks".
"I thought it would be really cool to capture me doing something totally normal that a ton of people do and include it in the video - it's two parts of my life that are meshing together," she said on the opening moments of the clip.
Her new music video "Sparks" which was released on May 14 featured her Tinder profile and some footage of her fun Tinder dates. Between the shots of the 27-year-old mom dancing, the video cuts into short clips of her swiping her phone left and right and proceeds to different blind dates, on which she goes from bowling to go-karting.
"I wanted to know what it was like and if sparks really do happen. The theme of my song is sparks. It's about finding that with someone and then hanging onto it," she further explained.
However, even though the singer has already dated two mystery men in a week, she also admitted that she is not really taking Tinder dating seriously. Duff has recently divorced her husband of five years, hockey player Mike Comrie yet the two continue to co-parent their 3-year-old son Luca.
Meanwhile, Hilary Duff might have surprised a lot of people in her newly released music video "Sparks" but it is noted that this is not the first time a star used online sites and applications to look for dates. In fact, other well-known celebrities have also tried it including Charlie Sheen, Adele, Martha Stewart, Andy Cohen and Ricki Lake.
