God of War 3: HD Remastered Update: Sony reveals New Modes available only on the Game’s 10th Anniversary

God of War 3: Remastered is set to be released ten years after it first came out. This update gives players a new and better visuals on the game, including the ability to pause mid-action and take photos from a number of different angles and use different camera options. It also makes the fight scenes and the overall look of the game more crisp and stunning.

This action-adventure game series is loosely based on Greek mythology, and has revenge as a central theme and driving force behind the main character's numerous quests. For those who are not familiar with the game, it allows players to take the role of Kratos, the main character. Kratos is a Spartan whose former master Ares, the God of War, tricked him into killing his wife and child. He is then driven to avenge this and, at the command of the goddess Athena, eventually kills Ares and becomes the new God of War. Throughout the duration of the game series, the king of the Olympian Gods Zeus eventually betrays him and so Kratos seeks revenge against the Gods.

In this part of the series, God of War 3: Remastered, Kratos' ultimate enemy is the Lord of the Underworld himself, Hades. The update on the game's graphics makes it possible to see the awesome gory details of the fight and combat scenes. Plus, there's the new Photo Mode, where players can freeze the game mid-action and use numerous camera options to "action photos" of their game.

God Of War 3: Remastered for PS4 is set to be released globally on July 14, players can now pre-order the game over at the PlayStation website. Players who have been fans of the game ever since can relive the glory of God of War with better more awesome visuals than ever. And the new generation gamers? God of War3: Remastered will be a great introduction to the game that became PlayStation's flagship series.
