George Clooney reveals that it took him about 28 minutes kneeling for Amal Alamuddin's hand in marriage before she finally said her "yes". Furthermore, despite their romantic marriage booming in tabloids and having purchased a manor house in England, Clooney states that he does not prioritize having kids yet.
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have been married for over seven months. Their exclusive star-studded marriage ceremony held at Venice, Italy got the media buzzing and eager to get documentary from whence the Hollywood Bachelor lost his single life to the 37-year-old Human Rights lawyer.
During an interview with People, George Clooney revealed that it took him 28 minutes down on one knee before Amal Amaluddin finally answer his "Will you marry me?" plea. He also adds that he even joked about getting an answer out from her because she just merely stated "wow" and "Oh my God" the whole time for 28 minutes. Furthermore, he also stated that he did not hint his now-wife about proposing to her which led to her surprise and his long kneeling time just for her to blurt out a "yes".
After the couple was engaged, both got married on Venice, Italy, first through civil marriage then proceeded the celebration at a lavish wedding reception, pictures were withheld by the couple until Vogue finally bought the documentation from which proceeds were donated to charity. Clearly, the couple have made good on their married life, being charitable and all.
Following the marriage, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin bought a £10 million Grade II listed manor house on the River Thames, England last October 2014. The couple is planning to move in there as their permanent abode sooner this year or the next.
Despite the purchase of a fully-stocked and family-friendly luxury property, Clooney also revealed during an interview that he has thought about having kids but is not making it as a high priority in their married life. Clooney even joked about the fact that even his character in movies show that he has children but have not considered it personally. Instead, Clooney said that his wife has changed his life tremendously like making him feel more care for her more than he ever has that he ended his bachelor identity to be with her forever. He might change his thoughts about kids someday. Who knows, right?
