While the word is out that singer Taylor Swift bagged eight awards at the Billboard Music Awards last May 17, a major cold-shouldering session at Swift's after-party has also made headlines as it was reported that her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles of One Direction has ignored Swift's invitation in order to steer clear of current beau DJ Calvin Harris. To make matters stirring, the DJ's ex-girlfriend Rita Ora also snubbed the smooching lovebirds at the backstage of Billboard awards.
Following the success of her 1989 record, the "Bad Blood" singer Taylor Swift bagged eight trophies at the Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last May 17. And to celebrate the triumph, she and her best friend Ed Sheeran threw an after-party for the event's attendees after the awards show at the Nobu Villa at Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Among the star-studded guests are Fifth Harmony girls, Adrian Grenier, Hailee Steinfeld, Tori Kelly, Selena Gomez and among others. Of course, it would be awkward to not invite her beau DJ Calvin Harris, who was spotted making out with Swift at the awards proper.
To make it more jubilant, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan also stopped by the festivities. In fact, Tomlinson and Horan were pictured geeking out with the rest of Swift's circle. However, despite the gaiety, it is apparent that Harry Styles is the only one missing among the boys. But, why really? Is he completely ignoring the "Style" singer? According to reports, the 21-year-old singer immediately flew back to Los Angeles in order to avoid seeing Swift with new boyfriend Harris.
Style and Swift have been rumored dating for four months in 2013, but unfortunately, things didn't work out for them. Likewise, it was also reported that Tay and best friend Ed Sheeran invited the boy band member for the after-party, but it seems like he decided against it.
Meanwhile, the brush-off session doesn't end there though. It's not only Swift's ex, but DJ Calvin Harris too. It was just last year that the "Summer" DJ has parted ways with his ex-girlfriend Rita Ora. The two didn't even separate in good terms. And while the Swift-Harris-PDA is happening in the awards proper, reports say that the "I Will Never Let You Down" singer wanted to avoid an awkward encounter with the lovebirds or being pictured reacting on their make out sessions.
Moreover, the British singer reportedly stayed backstage at the awards to avoid the couple, says Mirror. While Ora and Harris have experienced a devastating break-up last year, the Brit singer maintains her respect for Harris' girl. In fact, she complimented Swift's music in an interview.
