As to what "The Gift" refers to, eight things are being considered that may hint about its meaning. Jon Snow's companion, Ghost, would return on Sunday's show.
Many are speculating as to what the "The Gift" is all about. Guesses included:
1. A reference to Arya Stark's first "assassination mission" that was termed as "gift" in the books.
2. Jon letting/settling some Wildlings through the Wall.
3. An indication to the gift of death for the singer and the gift in the north.
4. The Gift land could be mentioned and negotiated over before Turmond and Jon head off to Hardhone.
5. It could also be a wedding gift.
6. A box with the viper in it
7. Stanni's plan to give parts of Brandon's Gift to the Wildlings.
8. Arya not giving the Hound the gift of mercy, revealing that the Hound is alive.
Everything here is still under speculation, and "The Gift" could be about one or more of the 8 things mentioned.
As to the ending of the "Game of Thrones" Season 5, Episode 7: "The Gift", previous Season 5 episode endings were recalled:
1. Season 5, Episode 4
"The Faith Militant grow increasingly aggressive, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) head south. Ellaria (Indira Varna) and the Sand Snakes vengeance."
This episode ended with the Meereen plot.
2. Season 5, Episode 5
"Dany (Emilia Clarke) makes a difficult decision in Meereen. Jon (Kit Harington) recruits the help of an unexpected ally. Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) searches for Sansa (Sophie Turner). Theon (Alfie Allen) remains under Ramsay's (Iwan Rheon) control."
It ended with Tyrion and Jorah.
3. Season 5, Episode 6
"Arya (Maisie Williams) trains. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) run into slavers. Trystane (Toby Sebastian) and Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) make plans. Jaime and Bronn reach their destination. The Sand Snakes attack."
It saw an ending with Sansa and Theon.
4. Season 5, Episode 7
"Jon prepares for conflict. Sansa tries to talk to Theon. Brienne waits for a sign. Stannis (Stephen Dillane) remains stubborn. Jaime attempts to reconnect with family."
It is speculated that it will end with Arya.
Meanwhile, reports revealed that Jon Snow's wolf companion, Ghost, would be making an appearance on the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 5, Episode 7: "The Gift". HBO also posted the trailer of the upcoming episode.
